e3 Smart Park

The ASCS Science and Energy Park is an innovative, hands-on, interactive outdoor science playground, designed to allow students to experience and experiment with physical science and energy concepts on a daily basis.

This 10,000 square foot outdoor facility allows children to learn as they play by incorporating custom designed elements such as simple machines (gears, levers, pulleys) and energy-generating play equipment.

Clean, renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines are located in the Park and in areas adjacent to the Park.  Meters will be placed throughout the Park which will invite the students to compare how much energy is being generated by various alternative energy sources.  In addition, students will be able to compare how much energy the school is consuming vs. how much energy they are generating through play.
