April is National Poetry Month! We will be celebrating all month in the library media center and in our classrooms, learning about different types of poems, writing poems and reciting poems!
On April 26th, we will be celebrating Poem in Your Pocket Day, started in 2002, it has become a national day to celebrate poetry.
From Poets.org: “Celebrate national Poem In Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 26, 2012! The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, family, and friends.”

Here are some things to try at home!
